Restaurant Selector movin’ on up!

I don’t like to promote my own sites, but sometimes it’s just something you got to do. I’ve put a lot of hard work into this site, and I want people to know about it, and know that I’ve done it. In the past few days, I have made some really huge strides on Restaurant Selector. Here is the short list:

  1. remember my zipcode - just click the box, and restaurant selector knows your zipcode for a month. (when I get around to it, logged in users will be able to do it for longer.)
  2. invalid zip code checking - try typing in words (there is even a keira knightley easter egg, see the site news on the right hand bottom side of the restaurant selector site for details
  3. fully working news system - more like a log of progress on it, it keeps you up to date on what I’m doing with site. (news archive available on the site)
  4. user login - right now logged in users can really only logout, but it’s a start. (registration is disabled at the current time)
  5. layout modification - behind the scenes I have made generating each page much nicer, and out in the open I made the overall look of the pages more uniform, and less cluttered.
  6. loads of other stuff - much more has been done as well, some behind the scenes, some not. I am very happy with my progress on it

So, as always, if you live in the United States, and have trouble finding dinner (click that link).
