It starts, NFL Fantasy Football Draft 1

So, in just a few hours I’ll be starting my first NFL Fantasy Football draft. My rules are simple, take a RB and a WR in rounds 1 and 2, best available till round 5, then grab Brett Favre, then from there it is best available until we’ve got a defensive break, grab a defense, best available, last round pick up a kicker. Easy! I’ll post my team when the draft is over. I am excited!

Doing the job the fed's won't do

I voted today! It was the first time I have voted in Arizona. After work I rode my bike down to my polling place and cast my ballot. Yes, I saved gas by not jumping in my car. Don’t think for a second that I voted in the ‘Green’ party though. I voted in the Republican primary. I did vote for Jan Brewer to run a s governor. As for the other elections, I voted against McCain (and that’s all I am saying). Otherwise, I voted the best I could in the other elections. I probably did not do as much candidate research as I should have looking back, but this is only a primary so I’m alright with it.

Upgraded to wordpress 3.01

I upgraded to wordpress 3.01 on this blog. It did not go without a hitch. I accidentally deleted all my uploads. Thankfully I’m a smart web developer and had just told dreamhost to back up my database. Everything is back in place. I’ve decided to change the theme to a new one. Maybe this will give me some motivation to start posting again.

Playstation 3: Fallout 3, lot’s of Fallout 3

I’ve been playing Fallout 3 lately. For anyone that has not played the game, you are missing out. At first the wide open map of the game is very overwhelming, but as you play it more and more and discover locations, the game moves pretty quickly since you can just ‘fast’ jump around the map. I’ve already beaten the game once, but now I’m going back and trying to complete all the sub-missions.

My last post was about the drive to Phoenix. Naturally, I went through Texas. I was cleaning up my stuff since I just got a new apartment, and I came across some “Don’t mess with Texas” stickers. Jeep Liberty: Road Trip to Phoenix

Previously, I tried to come up with a few things that Apex could stand for, like ‘Apex, Phoenix Employed, eXcited And Determined’. Well, that has become a reality, and I took a 1,900 mile road trip, stopping to sleep only one time. Once I got to Phoenix, I had living arrangements already all setup and even a job interview. I got the job, and I am currently going through training. So, you could say I have fully relocated to Phoenix as I have all my clothes and essentials here. I’m looking to get my own place within the next couple of weeks.

I’ve already done quite a bit of ‘fun’ stuff in Phoenix including going to a Brewers Spring Training game, going to the Heard Museum (A Native American Museum), went to a ‘man-made lake’ (aka pond) and tried to unsuccessfully catch some fish.

Otherwise, I’m keeping pretty busy enjoying the awesome weather. I’ll make another update on what it’s like in Phoenix soon!
