Oscar De La Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
If you think this is the first time I’ve discussed boxing on my blog, think again. A search for Fight Night should bring up several posts about my experiences with the Xbox 360 game.
So, remembering that I’ve gotten all 1000 gamer points in Fight Night Round 3 it should come as no shock that I am interested in some De La Hoya vs Mayweather tickets, as I enjoy boxing just as much as the next person. This fight is sure to not disappoint either.
This will be the second fight between these two and the first one broke all PPV records last May in Las Vegas. Oscar ‘Golden Boy’ De Le Hoya’s promotion company CEO Richard Schaefer told ESPN that the bout is “almost finalized” for September 13 or September 20.
Are you ready for this fight? It’s sure to be a battle worth watching as 2 of the best do the rematch thing to determine who is better once and for all. In the last fight Mayweather won by a split-decision and took De Le Hoya’s junior middleweight belt away from him. Naturally, De Le Hoya should be all practiced up this time, ready to re-earn his belt back.
Another Brewers game today.
Finally, after a pretty long break, I am going to the 2nd of 20 Brewer games this season. The game is against the Florida Marlins and should be a good one! I’m bringing to ‘gently’ used kids books with me and I am going to have to head in earlier than usual as I want to get the Ryan Braun collectible pin.
If anything exciting happens at the game you’ll definitely hear about it! If I remember I will at least try to take a picture and post the Ryan Braun collectible pin for you all to see.
NFL Draft is this weekend…I’m excited!
My team, the Packers lost Brett Favre this off-season. Next year with Aaron Rodgers at the helm will be an interesting year. One might say that the Green Bay Packers could use all the help that they can get. I will be watching all the nfl picks in the draft waiting patiently for the Green Bay Packers picks to come up. (Since the Packers made it so deep into the playoffs they’re pick is #30, only the Giants have a higher first round pick.)
The Green Bay Packers have been doing pretty well finding talent in the draft as of late. Greg Jennings is really shaping up to be a star wide receiver. A. J. Hawk is quickly becoming a star linebacker. Deshawn Wynn before he got insured really showed some greatness, and he will be an excellent backup to the likely starter, Ryan Grant. Nick Barnett continues to improve each year as well.
While I don’t think the Green Bay Packers have any pressing needs right now, they’re picks will reflect some important future need. I think they’ll look at getting some Cornerbacks. As awesome as Al Harris and Charles Woodson are, the reality is that they might not be on the team in 3-5 years. Finding good conerbacks to replace them will be hard so it’s better to start looking now, rather than later. Otherwise the Packers might look at a Tight End to be on the other side of Donald Lee as in more or less wide open since the Packers let Bubba Franks go.
NBA Live ‘07 (for Xbox 360) for $1
I believe it was last year that I got introduced to Protrade by my friends Bryan and Nate. Basically it’s a “sports stock market” where you buy and sell players and teams from just about every sport. The real market value of the player is based on how good they’re doing. The actual trading price of the player varies. Usually most players will have prices which reflect what price they’ll be worth at the end of the season.
The more money that you get, the better. You can trade protrade dollars and usually a very small actual dollar amount for prizes. Since I don’t use protrade anymore I was looking through the prizes and came across NBA Live ‘07 for $40,000 Protrade dollars and $1. Yeah, it’s a year old but this is a brand new never been opened copy and I currently don’t own a basketball game for My xbox 360, so I figure it’s a steal.
Brewers Game Tomorrow!
The old theme is back (thanks to Google Cache, a screenshot, and my own memory), but…it has a little tint of red and more red throughout this time around…like it’s been through a virtual shredder, because it has been.

Anyway, there’s still a lot more to fix up like add some new backgrounds (which will include a ‘new’ Brewer Background). That will all have to wait though, because I am going to a Brewers game tomorrow (which should be really exciting considering todays awesome 13-4) and waking up early to sign my new apartment lease on Sunday and then I am sleeping.
