So, in just a few hours I’ll be starting my first NFL Fantasy Football draft. My rules are simple, take a RB and a WR in rounds 1 and 2, best available till round 5, then grab Brett Favre, then from there it is best available until we’ve got a defensive break, grab a defense, best available, last round pick up a kicker. Easy! I’ll post my team when the draft is over. I am excited!

Doing the job the fed's won't do

I voted today! It was the first time I have voted in Arizona. After work I rode my bike down to my polling place and cast my ballot. Yes, I saved gas by not jumping in my car. Don’t think for a second that I voted in the ‘Green’ party though. I voted in the Republican primary. I did vote for Jan Brewer to run a s governor. As for the other elections, I voted against McCain (and that’s all I am saying). Otherwise, I voted the best I could in the other elections. I probably did not do as much candidate research as I should have looking back, but this is only a primary so I’m alright with it.

Upgraded to wordpress 3.01

I upgraded to wordpress 3.01 on this blog. It did not go without a hitch. I accidentally deleted all my uploads. Thankfully I’m a smart web developer and had just told dreamhost to back up my database. Everything is back in place. I’ve decided to change the theme to a new one. Maybe this will give me some motivation to start posting again.

iPhone OS 4 on my iPhone 3G

I’ve updated my iPhone to the iOS 4.0 GM (not the public build). It is jailbroken with redsn0w. I’ve got Game Center still on it (my alias is ‘apex’). My favorite jailbreak apps like Flashlight and sbsettings work. iBooks is broken. I consolidated all my apps into 1 single extra page besides the main one.

Less blu, more green

I’ve been slowly reducing my Blu-Ray collection in order to recover some money from the investment. I tried going to a multimedia exchange place, but they would only give store credit. So, like always, I sold them on eBay and recovered about $50. I did not sell any Blu-Ray books, however I did sell the 3 Pirates of Caribbean movies. Have no fear though, I plan to buy them back when money is a little better. I am going to get the Steel book versions. It will be the first steel book versions if movies that I have. For the time being though, my collection stands at about 60 movies on Blu-Ray.

As I mentioned on Twitter awhile back, I bought the domain alexmartin.me to use as I see fit. Right now though I’ve just set it up to point to this blog. I’ll try and come up with something better for it soon. Perhaps even another re-hash of apexad.net is in order. We shall see.
